Gibson New ES-330 Custom Historic
After an eight-year hiatus, the Gibson ES-330 returns to the Gibson Custom Historic Reissue core lineup in the form of two reissues: The 1959 ES-330 Reissue and the 1962 ES-330 Reissue. Handcrafted in Nashville, Tennessee at the Gibson Custom Shop, each brings authentic ES-330 specifications and performance to players worldwide, with the aesthetic and neck profile differences that define each year. Both feature VOS finishes, classic P-90 tone, and the historical accuracy and attention to detail for which Gibson Custom is world-renowned.
The new ES-330 Reissues feature fully hollow, thinline bodies constructed from three-ply maple/poplar/maple. Unlike the visually similar ES-335, the ES-330 does not incorporate a maple centreblock, which gives it a more open, resonant character, as well as impressive acoustic presence when played unplugged.
The P-90 is one of the all-time great pickups, with a sound that players love. In the 1959 and 1962 ES-330 Reissues, a slightly underwound neck pickup is paired with a bridge P-90 with standard windings for a perfectly matched set that remains balanced across all pickup selector switch settings.
The VOS finishes on the hardware and gloss nitrocellulose lacquer imparts the softly aged character of a pristine vintage instrument preserved through the decades.
Each ES-330 Reissue from Gibson Custom comes packaged in a Historic Lifton hardshell case for secure storage at home and travel on the road.
