SJ-200 60s Original - The King of the Flat-Tops, reimagined for today
Gibson’s legendary SJ-200™, long celebrated as the “King of the Flat-Tops,” continues its storied tradition with the SJ-200 60s Original. First introduced in 1937, this iconic model set the benchmark for acoustic excellence. The 60s Original pays tribute to the era when the SJ-200 was embraced by music’s most influential artists, including Pete Townshend, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, and Jimmy Page. It’s the same guitar heard on countless classic recordings that shaped modern music.
LG-2 50s Original - Compact design, full-bodied sound
Originally launched in 1942 during Gibson’s famed Banner era, the LG-2 stepped in as the successor to the L-00 and quickly earned its place among Gibson’s most beloved small-body acoustics. Released alongside icons like the J-45™ and Southern Jumbo, the LG-2 became a favourite for players seeking a guitar that delivers a big, balanced voice in a more compact form—an ideal alternative to larger-bodied models. Today, Gibson proudly reintroduces this classic with the LG-2 50s Original, a faithful tribute to the highly sought-after 1950s versions.
J-160E Original: The iconic J-160E returns with classic style and modern enhancements
Few guitars carry the legacy of the Gibson J-160E. Closely tied to The Beatles, this model was featured on their historic Ed Sullivan Show performance and countless recordings from the early years of their career. First introduced in 1954, the J-160E was Gibson’s second acoustic-electric design, following the CF-100E. Its distinctive configuration included a coverless P-90 pickup mounted through the top near the end of the fretboard, making it a true hybrid—built for both acoustic and electric performance, with a slight emphasis on its amplified capabilities. Its round-shoulder silhouette echoed models like the Southern Jumbo and J-45™, but its purpose was unique.
