Case Study: Chatswood RSL Yogi’s Sports Bar

At Chatswood RSL, a previously under-utilised area has been transformed into a high-performance sports and entertainment  area, Yogi’s Sports Bar. Centred around a Samsung display and a K-Array audio system, its designed for visual impact and audio clarity. WED Group, well-versed in RSL club AV, delivered a solution that simplifies control and elevates the user experience—especially in a venue with complex source management.

To avoid the common pitfalls of club AV—like IR remote chaos, inconsistent audio, and clunky source switching, WED Group implemented a streamlined control system, ensuring staff can easily manage displays and audio zones without frustration. While utilising multiple monitors for the venue, the feature screen is a Samsung 1.5PP LED and the team wanted an audio system to match.

They opted for the K-Array Kobra Column loudspeakers, chosen for their tight dispersion, high output, and discreet form factor. These are paired with a KU212 Sub beneath the display and powered by a KA34 DSP Amplifier, cabled with heavy-gauge runs to overcome long distances from the comms rack.

To maintain sonic consistency throughout the room, additional K-Array Tornado KT-2C Loudspeakers were installed in the ceiling and time-aligned to create the perception of sound coming from the main screen. The result is a clean, efficient AV install that delivers high SPL, excellent coverage, and a premium experience.
